My Troddens were also from Leeds where they lived on Dawlish St. My maternal grandmother was Agnes Trodden, dau. of Harry Trodden and Fanny Fitzsimons. They emigrated from Navan, Co. Meath to Leeds about 1850, as I recall. There was a concentration of the Trodden name in Lisnadell Parish, Co. Armagh in the 1800s.
There also was a concentration of the name in Lancashire probably due to emigration from Ireland. Some of my Troddens emigrated to Philadelphia in 1905; other settled near Pittsburgh / McKeesport.
