Dear Eddie, I was delighted to see your message on the board. I've been wondering what happened to the family of Edward Trodden [1901-1945]. My family tree has Toners and Troddens from Armagh who married in the 19th century. I'll not bore you with the Toner side; I'll focus on the Troddens. Edward Trodden married Euphemia McBride about 1870. They settled in Belfast and had three children : Charles 1872, Lizzie 1875 and Edward 1877. [there may be others I don't hnow about yet]. Edward married Catherine Quinn in 1899 and had a hairdressing premises on the Falls Road. They had three sons : Edward [1901-1945]; Charles [1904-1947] and Michael [1910-1978]. Edward's sister Lizzie lived with them. Catherine died in 1915 and Edward died tragically in 1920. Yor aunts and uncles were registered officially with the English version of their Christian names [eg Eileen and Elizabeth}. Your great-uncle Charles had a distinguished career in the Irish Army. Please get in touch with me and we can exchange further information. Danny Moore Notify Administrator about this message?
