Only have a second - we do know William Trogdon son (and father we believe) was in Maryland in 1751, first "reported" in Orange Co., NC in 1753.
A couple of years ago I was working with someone attempting to prove Isaac Julian's death by rattlesnake in order to get into DAR.I think her application had been denied on Isaac needing proof of event and date.
Ezekiel Trogdon, son of William 1720-1805 on his Rev. War. pension request, states he was born in Randolph County in 1754, a year after we find the Trogs in Randolph County. Here in Randolph County, the name Trogdon is often times pronounced Troglen.Ezekiel's clan became Troglens (some later returned to the correct spelling), but you will still find many, many families named Troglen or Troglin - and they are descendents of Ezekiel.
Just a couple of quick thoughts.
