I hope one of you can help me. I have William S.Drollinger living in Paragould Ark from about 1857. He had many children and won't list now. He married Elizabeth Bond.He was born in TN abt 1807 to Mary McCullough and John Drollinger. When Mary and John were married in NC 1806 he used the name Trollinger. She is most likely his 2nd wife. They had gone to TN or KY and then settled in Wilson Co TN by 1821. John died there in 1822 and I have his will inventory and other info on them. William S was a minor at the time . There were older children named Orpha Jane who married Jabez Noone/Nunn and Sarah who married James Phelps and Mary jr who is my gr-gr-grandmother and married Milton N.Mcghee in 1837.The oldest child was John Jr who was bound out to work. I have never located him after 1836 when he and William sold part of his fathers estate. This entire family minus John Jr all went in 1839 to Weakley Co,TN. My Milton died there in 1846 and his wife Mary jr died1845 and also Sarah's husband Jaes Phelps. They all went to Paragould Ark in 1857. They are on the 1860 census. One of Williams daughters married the mayor a Mr Allmon.I have never found where Wm S or Elizabeth his wife or Williams mother Mary are buried there. All dead by 1887. Except for children of William S.
While in Weakley TN on 1850 census the mother Mary widow of John Sr had 2 other children who could not be hers. They are Patrick Drollinger age 21 listed as idiot and Virginia age 7 and could be children of John Jr. . Mary was born in NC in 1785. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Some of these childen of William S. came back for a visit in about 1923 to Weakley Co TN and my mother remembers them. They were living out of the country at the time. Any help? Pat
