One of my wife's ancestors wrote a letter to his mother after the first Battle of Bull Run in which he mentions a John Trolinger, and says a braver boy never lived. I believe they were in the 6th North Carolina Infantry, and we think they may have been related, as Elizabeth Annie Walker (my wife's mother was a Walker) married William Trollinger, probably in the mid-1800s, in North Carolina. Can anybody tell us anything about this John Trolinger, and whether he was realted to William and Elizabeth?
