NANCY TROLINGER born 23 January 1822 Tennessee

Who are the parents of Nancy Trolinger, born 23 January 1822 in Tennessee? She is sometimes said to be the daughter of John M. and Sarah McAdams Trolinger, but she does not fit into that family. They had a daughter named Nancy who was born in 1919 who married a Macamey; they also had a son who was born in April 1822. Thus I do not believe that Nancy born 1822 could be their daughter. Nancy married Hiram Edwards and their first child was born in 1838 in Tennessee. They later lived in Alabama and then Mississippi. Both died in Lee Co., Mississippi, Hiram 30 years before Nancy. She is buried in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Lee Co. along with the youngest daughter, Martha Miltilda Edwards.

I believe this Nancy Edwards must descend from one of the Trolinger families who moved from North Carolina to Tennessee, but so far I cannot find a trace of her before her marriage. I have yet to find a marriage record. The first census record she is named on is the 1850 one after she has been married several years. So far none of the Trolinger families I have found a listing for have a child named Nancy other than John. Do you have any clues or suggestions for finding her parents??? richjoy@vvm.com
