Hello. I have a little information that may give you some false hope, but I'm hoping it doesn't. My mother's side of the family comes from Sicily, and their last name is Trombetti. They have settled outside of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. My great-grandmother, Mildred, married a gentleman Daniel Trombetti around 1927. I'm not certain when Danny came over, however, if your promise was made between 1927 and 1940, most likely "Beany" is a member of my family, and I know Danny had sisters. I am meeting with my grandfather this weekend, and I will ask him if he knows of any women that had that nickname in his family. I will post the results of this conversation within the next couple of days, but if you can give me any more information, I know it will help me. Also, if it helps any, in Sicily, our family name was "Trombetta", but on Ellis Islad, there was a mispelling. I hope this helps at all, and I hope to be able to help you fulfill your promise.
