Caroline, I can help you back one more generation.Mrs. Edward R (Jane) Trott (Of Illinois) sent my father (James E. of Montana) some info which takes your line back to John Trott, a draper in London. He married Rose Cartwright, dau of John Cartwright of the county of Derby, Gent.Rose and her husband were both granted arms.Rose made her will 20 Jan 1574 and d. 6 Jan 1575; prob. 18 Mar 1575.She left considerable property to her three children John, Marten, and Mary.
John m. Susanna, dau Sir Wm. Chester, Knight and Maior of London. They had 10 children
The rest of what I have is the same as your records posted -- apparently from the same source.
I do show some addit inof, though -- that Martin son of Martyn married a second time to Eliz. Blincoe, dau of Geo. Blincoe, and they had 4 children, Maney, Andrew, Bridget and Eliz (ux Christopher Harris)
Nicholas the 4th son of Martin and Anne Perient was of Jamestown, VA (he signed a will in York Parish, VA in 1655.Andrew, 2nd son of Martin and Eliz Blincoe was probably the Andrew Trott listed under Maryland Land Records.(The land was settled by the West India Co with which his two bros, Perient and Nicholas were both associated.)
Perient, 2nd son of Martin and Anne Perient was the first of that name. Some Bermuda historians give Eliz Smith as his wife, but Hallen's London city registers show his wife as Martha.Five of his chidlren were bapt'd at St. Botolphs, Bishopsgate:
Martha, d. 1705, Surrey
Samuel bap 31 Dec 1646
Ann bap 20 Apr 1648
Perient bap 26 Apr 1649
John bap 27 Feb 1650
Nicholas bap 15 Apr 1658 (b. 27 May)
Sarah, m. age 17, John Kendrick 17 Nov 1681
Richard, lived LOndon, went early to America. His dau Honour married John Deming, Sr., 1637, and the latter was progenitor of the Niagara Falls NY Trotts.
Samuel and Perient were first Trotts in Bermuda.Granted 770 acres on the Stone River in South Carolina, 14 Aug 1679.
Since I have no evidence any of this is my direct line, I hope its useful to those of you whose line it is!
James H. Trott
