Dear Troughear Everywhere
Corrections for errors in my posting regarding the Holmes-a Court connention with the Troughear family - I was relying on my memory a long way from home.
1. It was Thomas, that married a baronets daughter, Elizabeth Holmes, da. Henry Holmes (Bart.), not his son Leonard. The Rev. Leonard Troughear was later created 2nd (and last) Lord Holmes, Baron of Killmallock as a result of a complex will of his uncle, Thomas Holmes, 1st Baron.
2. Leonard married Elizabeth Tyrell (not Holmes) and had several sons and daughters. Only two of Leonard's sons died off Cuba, not three as I said. The third son died in the army in Ireland.
3. It was not one of Leonard's daughter's that married an a'Court, but one of his gt.grand daughters.
