Amy, It certainly seems that our families are either related or closely associated. Do you have the copy of the marriage record for Stephen P. and Catherine (Trover) Stringham? I would love to have a copy, if possible. Also, do you know how or why he lost his land? My gg-grandmother, their daughter, Elizabeth "Eliza" Ann Stringham Dyer was born in Kankakee County, Indiana. 1834, I think (I'll have to check.) I didn't know about the Stringhams having lived in Martin County. If Catherine, Elizabeth, Delilah and Nancy were all sisters, were they all Trovers? Or could there have been some who were half sisters ... and perhaps Catherina and John Collins were half siblings, too???

I know Eliza Ann had a sister named Nancy, too. So the names stuck in the family. I'll be glad to ask my mother, too, if she has any more on Catherine, and If she's run across your John Collins. Any other suggestions? Tom

Also, where can I find that Cass County census? I'll bet there are other relatives living in the same area, as well.
