When did Troyers enter Switzerland?

Hi! I found at that Michael Troyer (born 1734) was from Switzerland. This site also showed that Michael's father, David Troyer (born 1707), was married and probably born in Switzerland. I had always heard that the Troyers came from Troy, France, and I was wondering, if this is true, when and how did they come to be in Switzerland? Does anyone out there have any ideas about this?
