Dessie, I have checked back through my notes, and the book "Amish and Amish Mennonite Genealogies", by Kreider and Gingerich, lists Catherine Mast as the first wife and mother of the first two children. Maria is the second wife and mother of all the other children. I don't have a marriage or death date for either of the two wives. However, Jacob is listed in the 1850 Mortality Schedule as dying Sept. 1850. He is buried on the Albert Mast farm. The man who wrote the cemetery book thought that Maria is also buried on the farm, although the grave is unmarked. I don't know where Catherine is buried.

Maria signed deeds in 1826 and 1837. Jacob Wenger's will of 1815 mentions daughter, Maria, wife of Jacob Troyer.

If anyone has further information, I would be very interested. Doris Troyer
