Obit: Gerald E. Trudel, 1918-2003, Mass.

TURNERS FALLS — Gerald E. Trudel, 85, formerly of Turners Falls, died Sunday (7-6-03), at the Long Island State Veteran’s Homes in Stony Brook, N.Y.
Born June 18, 1918, he was the son of Joseph and Lucia (Lavallee) Trudel. He graduated from Turners Falls High School in 1936. He received a bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University and a law degree from Northeastern University Law School. He served in the Army Air Corps in Europe during World War II. He married Anna Zukowski on Nov. 3, 1943. Trudel worked for the Hartford Insurance Co., and moved to Kenmore, N.Y., in 1953. He was an active member of the Amherst Baptist Church.
Trudel’s wife predeceased him.
Survivors include a son, Steven E. and his wife, Catherine, of Blue Point, N.Y.; two daughters, Elizabeth A. Dorariajaha of Boston, N.Y. and Eloise Beesley and her husband, James, of Windham, Conn.; five granchildren, Jennifer Wolf, Alexis Trudel and Christopher, Kathryn and Hannah Beesley and three great-granddaughters, Jasmine, Jada and Jordan.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Turners Falls.
Lange-Tobia-Di Palma Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
