My paternal grandmother was a Trudelle from Northern Maine.
In case you have not found Alfred and Josephine in the census data here is the information to locate them in 1880 and 1900: For 1880 - New York, Clinton County, District 15, Image 2, Household 22: Alfred, Josephine, Juliette and Arthur.
For 1900 - New York, Clinton County, District 9, Image 17, Household 107; Alfred, Josephine, Arthur, Simon J., and Mary D. Year of immigration is 1870. They have had 5 children with 4 still living.
