I realize this is an old post but are you still researching Peter True? I believe his mother was Zerviah Cheever of Tamworth, New Hampshire, born 1776 to William Cheever and Zerviah Ryder. Her full name may have been Catura Zerviah Cheever. She married Samuel True and lived in Perry, New York. William Cheever and Zerviah Ryder were married in Chatham, Massachusetts in 1771, removed to Plymouth, New Hampshire by 1774, and were in Tamworth at the time of the 1790 Census. In 1798, they went to Hardwick, Caledonia County, Vermont. Hope this helps! If anyone has information on William Cheever's parents, I would love to know. (I have seen two references to his parents as William Cheever and Mehitable Newhall of Lynn Essex County, Mass. with a birth date of 1753 and two references to his birth in Chatham, Mass. in 1745.)
