Lucy and Lucinda Mertishaw (Mertishau?) Potawatomi (Kansas)

This search has been painful and long. My great grandmother was a traveler. She left sons in Mexico, Canada, Michigan, New York and we could never find which tribe she was a part of. She has one son left living and he finally told me that he had an Aunt and a Cousin on the Potawatomi Reservation in Kansas. He had lost touch with them but knows that at least one has since passed away. Lucy or Lucinda Mertishaw.

This would have been 30 years ago at the very least. Lucy had a daughter by the name of Lucinda, and a sister by the name of Mary Ross. Mary was born in 1888, Lucy was born some time afterwards.

Unfortunately, that is all of the information I have, and Mary had changed her name numerous times over the many years.
