INDIANA/OHIO TRUEBLOOD

I did a little research on this family. I found Jala R. Trueblood marrying Stephen E. Burris 8/12/1875 in Hamilton County, Indiana. In the 1880 census of Hamilton County I found one Thomas Trueblood (born about 1830) living with his wife, Mary (born about 1826), and son Thomas (born about 1868). Both parents were born in North Carolina. Later on 3/14/1886 Thomas R. Trueblood marries a Mahala Dunn in Hamilton County and his parents are listed as Thomas and Mary Sap Trueblood. I'm guessing your Restor Thomas Trueblood was actually Thomas Restore Trueblood (wouldn't be the first time names were inverted). The birth date and county would work out as well as his father's name.
Now if this is right, Thomas Restore's parents, Thomas and Mary Sapp Trueblood, were married 1/23/1855 in Guilford County, North Carolina. You can easily find them in Donna Beeler's website at The Trueblood Family in America 1682-1963. Thomas, the father, was the son of Isaac Trueblood and Mary Outland Trueblood and my GG Grandfather's brother. He is unknown in the 1880 census but by 1900 turns up in the Guilford County census as a retired minister living with his daughter (this would also fit your description of him as a minister). At least two children are noted. Also in Donna Beeler's site you will find three letters that Gordon Trueblood found in the North Carolina State Archives. We have good reason to feel that they were written by Mary Sapp Trueblood to her family in North Carolina after the couple moved to Indiana shortly after the War -- very touching thoughts about the deaths of her children to disease and the hardships of Indiana. In the 1870 letter mary writes about living near Westfield which is a town in Hamilton County close to Noblesville.
You might follw up with copies of the marriage certificates of Jala and Thomas R. Trueblood from Hamilton County. If this all comes together, you might consider posting your info on Donna's website. It's a great site for future and present researchers.
