Marian, Did you ever find the parents of your Thomas Truelove? I have something that might interest you if you did not. There was a Mary Perry, daughter of Francis Perry, that was mentioned in her father's will. Francis Perry died in 1814 in Wake County, NC. He mentioned "Then I leave to my loving daughter, Mary Trulove, two negroes by the name of Betty & Welsey with their increase and after her decrease I give the said negroes, with their increase, to my grandson, Thomas Trulove, to him and his heris forever". I have that she was married to William Truelove and that he died in Franklin County, NC(next door o Wake) in 1823. I do know that a lot of the Perry family went to Maury County, TN. I would be interested if this may be you line. I am related throught Francis Perry's daughter, Hammer Perry Parham. Sandra Cooley Nackab in North Carolina.
