Ellen Mahala Gibson Truelove Riley
I’m looking for information concerning Ellen Mahala Gibson Truelove Riley who is my wife’s grandaunt.Ellen is the youngest daughter of Isom and Sarah Gibson. She was born in 1873.
In 1894 in Boone Co., AR. She married James H. Truelove. He was 65 and she was 21 according to their marriage license.James and Ellen had two boys, Bascom and Charles.
James died sometime after 1897 when Charles was born and before 1900.
The 1900 census finds Ellen and the two boys living with her dad.
In 1903 she marries William T. Riley.
The 1910 census shows William and Ellen with two girls and the Truelove boys are still at home with Ellen. They are living in Newton Co., AR.
The 1920 census finds Ellen and William living in Butler Co., MO.The two Truelove boys are gone but the two girls, Eula and Vashti, are still at home and now there is a boy, Russell.I can not make out from the copy of the census I was reading the relationship of Russell to Ellen and William or his age.I would assume he is their son.
The 1930 census finds Ellen living in Springfield, Greene Co., MO.She is living alone and the census says she is a widow again. She is living close to her son, Charles Truelove, who now has his own family.Mother and son appear to be neighbors.
From 1930 on I have no info on Ellen.Anyone that can help me trace please contact me.I would like to know if she married again, when she died, where sheis buried, etc.
I would also be interested in knowing what happened to her kids.I have found Bascom and Charles but not Russell or the two girls.
I’ll share any info I have. You can contact me at [email protected]
