Who was the first Tubb?

Serena Tubb is said to have been born somewhere in North Carolina. She first appears in our family records at Perry Co., Alabama, where she is being married to Charles McGloughlin on 2-24-1830. Charles, or his father, changed the spelling of the surname to McLaughlin, and Charles and Serena's daughter was born Nancy Irene McLaughlin on 6-22-1840.
Charles also was born somewhere in NC. We do not have the place or date of birth, names of parents or siblings, or other details about either of these two, who were GGGP of my generation. It is my thought that they were each born between 1795 and 1810.
They may have travelled to Alabama in a caravan with several families, and may well have come from the same community in NC.
I understand there is a Tubbs family forum, and I have created a McGloughlin family forum, as well, in addition to the McLaughlin forum.
If any new readers of this posting know of details which I show to be missing in my info, would you please be kind enough to fill me in?? Thanks Joe Duke
