So glad to find someone who knows something of this family's history! I too was raised by my grandparents and had the privilege of listening to their stories. And I also wish I had paid more attention and asked more questions.

I would love to get the information you have on these Sanders and Whiteheads.

So your Minnie Lucinda was the daughter of Sion Sanders and Elizabeth Allen? I'm a little confused on the dates. I show this Sion being born in 1807 TN and died 1850 Leake Co., MS. Do I have the wrong Sion? There were several of them. You mentioned an 1856 birthdate.

I have a Sion (b. 1849), son of Sion (born 1807), son of Sion {Dr.} born 1771.

Regarding the last two children of Sion & Mary Polly Tubb:

Anderson P. Sanders - the information I have came from my grandmother who was Anderson's granddaughter. It could be in error, though, as it was just passed down as so much of our information is. I show him born 1821 in Meridian, MS. Also his sister, Mary Polly. Do you have something different?

Great to hear from you with all your stories of their history. Would love more!
