For these Tuckers, too many running around 1800's north Texas... For this J. E. Tucker, you might consider kinship to Andrew Jackson Tucker, George Redman Tucker, etc. You might also consider "Bony" Tucker who was a deputy sheriff in Tarrant County in 1887.

- Deputy U. S. marshal TOM GERRIN/GUERIN/GARREN/GERRIN/GEREN reported in the Dallas News May 21, 1887 that deputy sheriff BONY TUCKER of Tarrant County, sheriff JOHN OLIVE and posse of Williamson County overtook a gang charged with robbing the train at McNeil. In the fight, three of the gang were killed. Report was collaborated by the train conductor of Train 154 of Missouri Pacific. ...

Don't know if there is kinship or not with these other Tuckers, but there were at least four Tuckers who wore badges at some time in north Texas in the late 1880's.

Good luck with your Tucker chase... you will need luck to separate these lines.
