Thanks for your response. What was the census year, 1920? I don't have the census info for 1910, 1920, 1930. I haven't been able to get to the library. Another person sent me a copy of Jefferson Milton Tucker's death certificate and the 1900 Tarrant Co TX census showing him living with Joe and Sallie Foster at age 18 (his mother was a Foster).
My mother Helen Charlyne Tucker was the youngest child of Jefferson Milton and Mary Belle Berry Tucker, born after the 1920 census in Cushing, Payne, OK where Jefferson and Mary Belle settled to raise their children. Mary Belle was divorced from Jefferson in the late 1920's for dissertion after at least a 7 year absence from the family. He returned when my mother was 9 yrs old and was told that he was divorced. We do know for a fact that he was remarried,(don't know her name, the death cert just says Mrs. Jefferson Tucker), but they lived in Gladewater, Gregg, TX. I don't know if he had any other children by his 2nd wife. He died in the Gregg Memorial Hospital and is buried somewhere in the Longview,Gregg Co, TX area, but haven't been able to locate his headstone or a listing of him in any of the cemeteries. Only other info is the Rains and Talley Funeral Home in Longview; and his Social Security #.
His parents: Jeremiah S. Tucker of Georgia d. 1901 and Mary Isabella Foster of Texas d. 1883; both are buried in Grapevine Cemetery, Grapevine, Tarrant Co, TX. I do have the 1880 Tarrant Co TX Census showing them and father went by Jerry. This is also listed in a Grapevine Heritage Book.
