I do not believe that Elizabeth Tumlinson Plemmons was a blood-aunt of Malinda Tumlinson.
Here is my proof:
1) In 1832, in a deposition with James Tumlinson 79, we see the following: "Elizabeth Plemmons, wife of John Plemmons age 46, both of this county [Crawford].Elizabeth Plemmons formerly Elizabeth Tumlinson."
2) Considering that a 46 year old man, might have a 46 year old wife we look to the 1830 census where we do not find John Plemmons in Crawford, but we DO find Elizabeth Tumlinson living nearby the other Tumlinson families. She is 30-40, with several young children.
Therefore, I believe that she is Elizabeth (unknown) married first to Tumlinson, second to John Plemmons.
So she was Malinda's aunt, but by marriage.
