His name is John Henry Tunstall and you are talking about the Lincoln Co. war in New Mexico. He was a young man in his early 20's, the only son of a family from England. There is a Book in the Library called "John Henry Tunstall". It tells about his life in England , Canada, and the States. Billy The Kid was in his life for a short time, during the Co. war. Hope this helps some.
