Thank you so much Peter. I am just reviewing the Carlow site online and I noticed Richard who married Elinor Shirley and David who married Elizabeth. I thought they must belong somewhere in the family. In one day you have broadened my tree more than I have been able to do in a couple of years. I wish I could be of some help to you. If we do find a link, I will be very happy to share what I have on this family in Ontario.

I do have a question about Old Leighlin. Would that be Church of Ireland? I have found info of a marriage between Richard Tunstead and Rachel Scanlon at Diocese of Ossory. Would that be Church of Ireland? Any Scanlons I have found were mostly Catholic, so, I wondered whether Rachel might have been Catholic although I know the Tunsteads were Protestant. I am confused.
