Book "Sowing of the Seed"
There is a very good book "Sowing of the Seed", by Rev. Andrew Spence Turnipseed, a Methodist minister of Ramer, Al.Unfortunately it is out of print (my sister and I tried to buy copies).I was able to borrow a copy from a distant related Turnipseed in Lindale, Texas and copy our line. They descended from (Beat/Peat/Pottley) Rebsamen-Turnipseed (and Hans) 2 immigrant brothers from Torrential Switzerland near Zurich. We are through Beat’s daughter Maria Margarita Turnipseed who married Philip Shaver in Cedar Creek on the Broad River, Camden District, SC.
Are you aware that Nancy was a nickname for Ann or Anna since that was still a German speaking community?
Jacob Turnipseed, son of Hans (John) Rebsamen served in the Rev. War in 1781-2.He served 110 days as a footman in Thomas Taylor's regiment. He married Catharine Kinsler. They had a daughter, Nancy.
