Your Owen Tutor and Lucinda Dennis were m. abt 1840 in Cumberland County NC. They moved to Pontotoc County MS abt 1848.When Lucinda died in 1860, they had 7 children. Owen returned to NC in 1862 with the 2 young daughters Nancy and Mary and apparently your Marshall. All 7 children appear on the 1860 Pontotoc County MS census. Marshall is shown to be 13 years old. The ancestry of Owen Sr is interesting to read. First, go to message 68 of this forum and read it along with all the responses and then go to the TUDOR forum and search that forum for "OWEN" and read what is there about the lineage. Then make up your own mind, or continue to wonder as I do. Good luck.
