Posey Delmar Tutor was the 5th child of John Wiley Tutor and Susan Emily Swaim. He was b. 29 AUG 1888 in Pontotoc Co. MS. He m. 29 OCT 1911 Pontotoc Co, MS Bk 7 (1909-12) p. 370 to Myrtice "Myrtle" Glenn. He d. 14 OCT 1911 and she d. 2 JUN 1970, both buried at Antioch Cemetery, Pontotoc Co. MS. Now you will like this - Susan is the d. of Absolem Swaim and Violet Cearley. She was b. 1854 Lafayette Co. MS, m. John Wiley Tutor on 21 NOV 1875. She d. 4 MAY 1939 and is buried at Toccopola Cemetery, Pontotoc Co. MS. Absolem was b. the 6th of 10 children of George Swaim and Mary S. ?.
He was b. 18 JAN 1825 in NC and d. 22 FEB 1864 at confederate raid on West Point MS. His wife, Violet Cearley was b. ca 1830 in NC. After the death of Absolem, she married Harris Tutor, the father-in-law of Susan Emily Swaim. The Swaim family came to Pontotoc Co. from Alexander County NC. Absolem had a sister, Susan E. Swaim who married Eli Cearley, and a brother, Richard who married Parola Hudson. John Wiley Tutor is the son of James Harris Tutor, b. 1820 Cumberland Co. NC and Julia Ann Sexton, b. 15 JUL 1827 Cumberland Co. NC. They m. 27 OCT 1846 Cumberland Co. NC. Julia d. abt. 1870 and he m. 23 NOV 1873 Violet Cearley Swaim. All 3 are buried in John Wiley Tutor Cemetery, Pontotoc Co. MS. James Harris Tutor is the son of Owen Tutor, Sr. and Lucinda Senter of Cumberland Co. NC. I hope that this is a help.
