Robert Tutor/Tuder (NC 1786-1790)

I have found a Robert Tutor/Tuter who lived in Northampton Co., NC and showed up in the 1786 and 1790 censuses for that county. In 1786, he is listed as maintaining a household comprised of 3 females (any age), 1 male (age 21-60), and 2 males (age under 21 or over 60) [i.e., husband, wife, 2 daughters and 2 sons].

I believe this is the same person who was the son of Henry Tuder and Elizabeth Watkins of Sussex Co., VA, and that he was born in Sussex Co., VA circa 1754. I also believe he is the Robert Tuder who is listed as living in Brunswick Co., VA in the 1782 tax list for that county, and that, after living in Northampton Co., NC, he and his family moved back to Brunswick Co., VA, where he purchased a farm in 1795 (per deed records), had 2 more sons (according to his will) and eventually died in 1827.

Does anyone have any additional info on this Robert Tutor/Tuder?

Thanks for your help.

Bim Tudor
