Census records for Samuel Tutor and Louisa Garrison Tutor in Iowa say that he was born in VA and West VA. I have thought that he was probably born in an area of VA that was included in West VA after the two split into two states. Do you have vital records that will prove that he was born in Ill.? Any real records would be wonderful!!! James Wylie is my gggrandfather, his son, Samuel Edward is my great grandfather and Samuel's son, William Homer Tutor, is my grandfather.
