I wish I had more information. I have only the clue to go on, from records of The Lanier Club in Tryon, North Carolina. Perhaps Antoinette Twitchell would be the very lady. Was she a painter? Did she visit Mexico to paint before she married Converse? Of course Converse College in Spartanburg has a good reputation for art training.
