Samuel Bridges on 1850 Census

In the 1850 Census for Anderson County, my gr-grandfather, Jackson (Ross) Bridges, is listed in the household of his father, James W. Bridges, and his stepmother, Mary. He is 17. The children of James and Mary are listed as Edmond, Amanda, Elizabeth and Frances. After these children is a Samuel, age 16, born Anderson. Does anyone know who Samuel is? I have not been able to find him before or after 1850.
