I need to see if anyone in Angelina county can or does lookups at the courthouse.My gggrandparents were living in Homer,Angelina county in 1860.They had several children living with them then.
Dist.2;M653/1287/102;dated June 28,1860;Homer P.O.
HH#261,lines 1-8;indexed as Dantries but surename is Daughtrey,spelled several different ways through the years.
Dantries,William,white male;age 28;farmer;born Ala.
wife,Mary E.,white female;age 28;born Ala.
Elizabeth,white female;age 11;born Ala.
Mary A.,white female;age 9;born Ala.
Nathan,white male;age 7;born Tx.
Francis A.,white female;age 4;born Tx.
William E.,white male;age 3;born Tx.[my ggrandfather]
Hiram L.,white male;age 1;born Tx.
What I would like to know is:is there any birth records for any of these children in Angelina county and or death records for any of them.Hiram and the first 2 girls that were born in Ala. aren't on any other census records for this family.....Also is there anyone in Angelina county doing research on the TREVETHAN surename.I have been told that Mary E.'s maiden name was Trevethan.But I haven't found any proof of that as of this date...7/23/2006.
I need some help on this family,so if anyone has any clues please let me know....Thanks in advance...Shirley
