I think the confusion about Mary's last name comes from Mary McClure and Mary Barron both marrying into the Richardson family.

According to records:

Texas Marriage Collection, 1814-1909 and 1966-2002
Marriage Date: 13 Oct 1848
Spouse: Henry P.(or S) Richardson
Marriage County: Nacogdoches
Marriage State: Texas
Source: County Court Records - FHL microfilm # 0025309

Texas Marriage Collection, 1814-1909 and 1966-2002
Marriage Date: 22 Sep 1870
Spouse: James H. Richardson
Marriage County: Angelina
Marriage State: Texas
Source: Texas Marriages, 1814-1909

In case you don't have your notes in front of you, James H. Richardson was Thomas & Mary McClure Richardson's son.

I hope this helps, though I'm sure someone out there might have records that contradict what I have in my notes. That's the problem with research. There's flotsam that becomes 'fact' with enough repetition and time.
