I am researching my ggrandfather Charles J. Harrison. Located him in the 1880 census in Aransas County census, wife Mary, daughters Mollie & Hattie. In 1881 they had a son James John Harrison (my grandfather). From my mom she said that Mary died while he was a baby. Have been trying to find info on where Mary died, date and Charles J. Harrison when he died and where. Also where he was prior to 1880. There was a book I found that showed a early marriage to Mary in 1872 (I believe that it showed the name of Mollie possibly a typing error).

Charles J. Harrison was a boatman and from what my mom said is that he used to make what is called Turtle soup. Any information would be appreciated. May have been in Aransas county or Refugio County.
