My Grandfather was Minor Elwood Newman born in 1897 son of Anderson Knight Newman. He grew up in and around Rossville and Poteet. My Grandmother (his wife) has two pictures that belonged to him of a school house with the class standing in front of the school. It was his school but I don't know if its Rossville or Poteet or other. I don't even know if he is in the pictures but they date from the very early 1900's. My grandmother has the originals. She lives in Texas and I am now in Alabama, so I don't know how to get them to you to check out if thats even the info you were looking for.
