Thanks again Dick, Wynona Elizabeth Stewart and my grandfather were 1st cousins. Wynona (b) 14 Feb. 1900 in Ada, Okla.-(d) 12 Sept 1990, Pleasanton, Atascosa Texas, (bur) Pleasanton Cem. Pleasanton, Texas) married Wm. Byrne Statler 29 June 1915 in San Antonia, Texas. Wm. Byrne was (b)16 Aug. 1897 in Texas, (d) 21 Aug. 1936 in Big Wells, Tex. They had one son, Wm Stewart Statler (b) 18 Aug. 1918-Ada, Okla, (d) 20 Oct. 1891. (bur) Pleasanton Cem. Pleasanton, Texas City Cem. #Note the son died one year later and and both are buried in Pleasanton City Cem.
Wm Stewart Statler married Elizabeth Ann Stone. Two children: Johnnie Mae (or Mac)married David Clair Appleman. Michael Stewart Statler.
Wynona would have married Mason Eldred Fred sometime after 1936. It must have been while the children were still pretty small because they seemed to stay in south and east Texas area. Wm. Stewart Statler would be my Mother's generation. Johnnie Mae Statler Appleman, my generation. I think Johnnie Mae Statler Appleman is probably deceased. It would be neat to have a legal document to go in my records. I did not do that as I went along and it was hard to gather when I applied for DAR and for my CDIB. I would like to document this unusual family for future generations as it is not easy to do both DAR and work on Indian CDIB on the same line.
