Elliott Frank Mcmains married Alice Dossey Dec. 26, 1890, Atascosa County, TX. Alice and family can be found in District 3, Atascosa County, in the 1880 Census.
The couple are found in the 1920 Census, Precinct 8, Atascosa County (ages 53 and 50), with son Murrill (age 27), adopted son Gary (age 4) (probably the son of William J. McMains who died previous), a boarder Allan Wade, and a cousin Mabel McMains (age 12).
Alice's brother John Y. Dossey and family are listed just above the Mcmains family.
WHO ARE ELLIOTT MCMAINS' PARENTS? How does "cousin Mabel" fit into the picture?
