My great grandfather, Abner Clapp Jackson, was born in 1853 in Galion, OH, in early childhood moved to IL. (I have a picture marked Farina, IL) He came to TX with his brother John H. Jackson. They cleared land in Palo Pinto Co, then came to Austin Co. helping to build the railroad from Fort Worth to Bellville which arrived in the winter of 1879-80. In the 1880 census he is listed as brother in the home of Madora Jackson in precinct 1 of Austin, Co. I think maybe he is her brother-in-law. He later married Isabella Solomon, and they had six children. She died in childbirth, and he later married Amelia Catherine (Emily Kate) Hoffman, and they had four children. About 1910, they moved from Raccoon Bend to Coleman, Co. TX I don't know anything about his parents. I think he had at least two brothers. Can you help me learn more? Thanks
