I am looking for information on my G-grandfather Jerry Scales (African American). Born in Tennessee in 1854 migrated to Millheim, Texas and married Mariah (Mulatto, maiden name unknown)shows on the 1880 census. Any bit of information on owners before emancipation or family of Marian would help.
