Hugh Adams-Thank you for your reply. Yes, I have been looking at that 1850 census year and the family of James & Elizabeth Liles with Amous (sp) Liles-son at 3 yrs old. This same family is also shown on the 1860 census in Dickson County Tennessee as James Lyle with a son Amos H Lyle as 12 yrs old. So the dates are fine, but I am still looking for some documentation. I requested and received a death cert. for Amos Lyles/Liles in Bastrop County, Texas, and it came back as parents unknown. Thanks again for your help. Mrs. Pat Liles
