We have looked for over a year for the graves of Hugh K. McDonald (1816-1893) and son, John Thomas McDonald (1843-1907) and wives. John T. served in the Confederacy under Capt. E.P.Petty, whose grave is at Fairview. Hugh K. ran a sawmill and ferry in Bastrop. John was a postmaster and farmer-merchant at Hills Prairie. First wife was Ella Pene Petty (1849-1890) and second wife was Josephine Kennedy (1860-1946 buried in Nueces, Co.) Josephine and John had a son, Lester E. McDonald in 1895, according to the 1900 census. What happened to him? John and Ella have an infant son, William T. buried at Fairview. We would soooo appreciate any help. These are great and gg-grandparents.
