Ballenger and family are found listed in the 1870, 1880, 1900 Federal Census for Bosque County. They originally came from Missouri. They seemed to have moved back and forth between Johnson County (near Heugh/Antioch) and possibly Hill County (near Itasca) during the 1880s.
