When I did a search for a Womack who died in Commanche Co, TX for that date I found the following. TX Dth Idx 1890-1976 -- http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html?..#w=;p=2;c=1320964;t=searchable -- You can view digitized copy of original death record, see more details, make printout and look for others, too. And, she was buried the next day. Could this be her husband? Name: Phillip Sam Womack Death date: 07 Jan 1972 Death place: Alvin, Brazoria, Texas, United States Gender: Male Race or color (on document): White Age at death: 94 years Estimated birth year: Birth date: 02 Feb 1877 Birth place: Marital status: Spouse name: Father name: Carrol Decater Womack Father birth place: Mother name: Susan Howard Mother birth place: Occupation: Residence: Cemetery name: Burial place: Burial date: Additional relatives: Film number: 2223615 Digital GS number: 4005467 Image number: 00347 Reference number: 08326 Collection: Texas Deaths, 1890-1976 I checked Bosque Co, TX GenWeb site -- http://www.txgenweb5.org/txbosque/ -- for Morgan Cemetery. There is an E.W. 1830-1904 and Sarah E., 1849-1930. A little research on them shows them on the 1880 census in Bosque Co. His name is Elbert and born in MS. On that same census is an A.C. (b MS, too) and Susan with son Samuel P. age 3, believe this is the Phillip Sam on the above death record. Also, there is a son named Elbert. You might check, see if there is an unmarked grave near E.W. and Sarah. Elbert could have been an uncle to Phillip and maybe Phillip buried his wife near them????? Check lookups on that GenWeb site, someone is listed for Moragan Cemetery, maybe they can help you. Happy Hunting (^_^) Notify Administrator about this message?
