I am trying to find information on a long lost branch of the family. The last records I can find places them in Bowie county.

Montie Jewel Byrant Smith was born Jan 1897 and died Jan 1982. She married Leod G. Smith who was born 1898 and died Nov 1967.

They had a son named Tillman Smith, and this is where the trail grows cold.

Montie was born to James Riley Bryant born Aug 1860 in Van Zandt County and died May 1937. He is buried near Van. Her mother was Lula E. Gentry born Sep 1870 in Alabama and died Feb 1942. She is buried next to James.
