I have been at this for 12 years and have found that fellow researchers are the most giving, caring people in the world.
Just return the favor to someone else: look at the GenForum page for the county you live in -AND- if someone wants a birth, death, or marriage looked up, go to the courthouse or newspaper and do it! It doesn't have to be the very day you see the request - just in a few days. It won't hurt you, won't take but a few minutes of your time, but will be of VALUABLE assistance to someone else.
