A few years ago, a group called Visiting Friends, Inc operated out of Lake Jackson. It allowed genealogists to offer their homes in exchange for others to use during research trips, while in return offering their own homes in return. I met several lovely people on my trips whom I met through VFI. I tried to get in touch again this year, since I am planning another trip from California to Maryland, but it seems that VFI is no longer in existence. I can't remember the name of the lady who ran this group, but hope someone in the Brazoria County Genealogy Society can enlighten me. Has the name changed? Is it still in operation? Is there some way I can get in touch? Thanks for any information regarding this.
