Bill - you are a diamond! Jesse McKellom was my great uncle and he was married to my great aunt Mattie. Our family says that he killed himself because he never got over the death of Aunt Mattie and the responsibility of having to raise three children without a mother. I suspect Anson is the brother of Jesse. I don't know anything about Will Walker, but I am going to write to the library in Bryan to see if I can get copies of the newspaper articles you have listed.
