I am trying to find information on the shooting death of my Grandfather in Brownwood,Texas on or about, 27/28 Feb 1929. His name was John Richard Wilson. He was killed by a, O.T. Leonard who shot and killed him and shot and wounded two others. Mr.Leonard was recently divorced from his wife and I would request any info on the divorce and the Ex-wife,children and on Mr.Leonard? The killing allegedly occured in a "Boarding house" in Brownwood. Court records on any inquiry or trial conducted for the attempted prosecution of Mr.Leonard? Disposition of trial if any? News paper headline read " Iwoa Park man killed two others shot". Mr.Leonards history after the event and that of his ex-wife and any children,if any? This has been a dead end for too many years and would help to bring closure to my mother while she is still with us,to have a little more information other than, that her father was taken from her at 9 years old,under unknown circumstances. Anyone who may help with any information is welcome.Maybe there is someone still in Brownwood who can shed some light on this tragic event. Thank you,best regards,Rick Bell.
